
A senior executive with a broad range of experience in developing major civic projects, non-profits, fundraising, broadcasting, government relations, mergers and acquisitions, biomass energy and corporate farming. As the Executive Vice President of the Baton Rouge Area Foundation, he oversaw the successful completion of numerous community projects including the creation of master plans for hurricane recovery throughout south Louisiana, creation of the master plan for the restoration of City Park and University lakes near Louisiana State University, secured funding for an in-depth study on Spectrum Disorders in Louisiana, and has led the effort to restore passenger rail service between Baton Rouge and New Orleans. He also led the effort to create the East Baton Rouge Parish Redevelopment Authority; the founding of the Water Institute of the Gulf, an award-winning non-profit focused on scientific discovery around coastal community challenges; the implementation and fund development of a city-wide bikeshare network in Baton Rouge; planning for the construction of the McKay Automotive Center, the EBR Career and technical (CTEC) high school; and co-chaired the fundraising and planning for the LASM Pennington Planetarium and the Canes Riverside Exhibition Hall.
